Linfield v Newry City - Preview

IT will be a free day for Linfield fans when they make their way to Windsor Park on Saturday afternoon.

The powers that be at the club decided in the wake of last Saturday’s abandoned match at Windsor that they should allow free entry to all supporters for the game with Newry.

The visitors are hopeful of breaking their way into the top four of the table this season and have made some significant advances with the signings of keeper Paul Murphy (Ballymena Utd) and defender Ross Black (Larne).

Steven Garrett and Kevin Keegan have shaken off minor injuries and are in contention for selection for City.

Free Admission This Saturday

Linfield have announced that admission to this Saturdays JJB Premiership Game with Newry City will be free for both sets of supporters. The decision was taken in response to the abandonment of last weeks Cliftonville match. A decision on when to replay the game is proving difficult with the upcoming Sentanta Cup games and Linfield have acted quickly to ensure their supporters who were inconvenienced are not out of pocket. Linfield are also working with Cliftonville in the hope of coming of an arrangement with Reds fans who attended the game.
